Job summary

R+L Carriers, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for our Burlington Township, NJ Service Center. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain trailers, perform safety inspections, and interpret manuals to meet FMCSA and manufacturer specifications.

Must lift up to 50 lbs, own your tools, and be dependable. We offer medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with company matching, paid vacation & holidays, and resort lodging for employees.

Trailer Mechanic-$31.92 - $38.37/hr. Full-Time, Monday – Friday-4:00p to 2:30a

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Burlington Township, NJ Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements:

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred:

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair
