Job summary

Kapsch TrafficCom North America seeks a Traffic Operations Center Operator to monitor and direct traffic operations within the Riverside County Express Lanes area. You will coordinate with FSP and first responders, and support Caltrans personnel in real-time operations.

The role requires handling ITS devices, CCTV, DMS, and information systems, with a focus on incident management and accurate data entry in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous customer service or emergency dispatch experience is a plus.
• Experience and knowledge of ITS traffic systems control, incident management, automated communications networks and systems is a plus.
• In-depth knowledge of the Riverside County roadway system.

Responsibilities

• Monitor traffic flow.
• Identify incidents.
• Coordinate Freeway Service Patrol (FSP).
• Coordinate with CHP and Caltrans.
• Operate CCTV Cameras and DMS and other systems.
• Data entry for Traveler Information System.
• Manage Roadwork.
