Kapsch TrafficCom North America is seeking a Traffic Operations Center Operator to monitor and direct traffic operations within the Riverside County area. The role involves operating ITS devices, coordinating with FSP and Caltrans, and ensuring timely incident response.

The position is onsite with no remote-work option and offers shifts across mornings and afternoons, with an hourly rate of $18.00. A high school diploma and prior dispatch or customer service experience are valued assets.

Role Summary

The work involves operating a variety of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices and information systems to monitor, evaluate, and direct traffic operations in the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) I-15 Express Lanes coverage area, along with coordinating with the Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) and First Responders and State DOT (Caltrans) personnel.

Available Shifts: Monday - Sunday (2 Days off) 5:00AM-1:30PM or 11:00AM-7:30PM.

Candidate must be flexible.

Hourly Pay: $18.00/hour.

Please note that this is an onsite role with no opportunity for remote work.

What we are looking for.

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous customer service or emergency dispatch experience is a plus. Experience and knowledge of the following though prior TOC / ITS work experience is a plus: Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) traffic systems control, incident management, automated communications networks and systems, and the techniques and strategies of traffic information management and dissemination. In-depth knowledge of the Riverside County roadway system. Ability to multi-task in fast pace situations. Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Microsoft office and the ability to learn new systems is required.
