AtkinsRéalis seeks an ITS & Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Austin, TX. You will provide admin and operations support, compile data, and prepare reports while using CAD tools to create schematics and design plans for traffic projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing civil engineering with 60 hours completed in an ABET-accredited program; Office software proficiency and CAD experience are preferred. Interns will gain hands-on exposure and mentorship.

Qualifications

• No professional experience required; open to Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related field.
• Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support for ITS & Traffic projects.
• Use CAD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) to produce schematics, drawings and design plans.
• Assist with preparation of design plans and traffic signal models.
• Coordinate with the organization unit to ensure policy and procedure consistency; participate in project and organizational meetings.
