Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an ITS/Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our Tampa, FL office. You will support the ITS/Traffic Engineering team with transportation design, plan production, calculations, and project documentation.

Use OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D to support drawings and CADD production. The role emphasizes learning through hands-on tasks, field reviews when applicable, and collaboration in a team environment.

Qualifications

• 60 hours toward a Civil or Electrical engineering degree from an ABET program by Summer 2027.
• No experience required beyond enrollment in a related bachelor’s program.
• Ability to enter data in spreadsheets/forms/databases and use Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support ITS/Traffic Engineering team with transportation design and plan production.
• Perform calculations and assist with project documentation.
• Review field notes, as-builts and existing conditions; participate in field reviews when applicable.
• Contribute to team meetings and coordination efforts.
