Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an ITS & Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our El Paso, TX office. The role provides hands-on data work, CAD-based schematics, and design support for traffic projects, with mentorship and growth opportunities.

Candidates should be pursuing civil engineering with at least 60 completed hours in an ABET-accredited program. No formal experience required; strong MS Office and CAD skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• No experience required if enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• Must have completed 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support.
• Compile data and prepare reports.
• Produce schematics, drawings and design plans using CAD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
• Assist with preparation of design plans and traffic signal models.
• Coordinate within the organizational unit to ensure policy consistency.
• Participate in project and organizational meetings.
