Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an ITS & Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in our El Paso, TX office. The role includes data compilation, report preparation, and CAD-based schematic/drawing work for traffic design.

Ideal candidates have completed 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027 and are proficient with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or MicroStation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by start of internship (Summer 2027).
• Experience with Microsoft Office is required; familiarity with CAD software is preferred (MicroStation or AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support.
• Compile data and prepare reports.
• Use CAD software to produce schematics, drawings and design plans.
• Assist with design plans and traffic signal models.
• Coordinate within the unit to follow policies and procedures.
• Participate in project and organizational meetings.
