Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in El Paso, TX is seeking an ITS & Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to assist with data compilation, report preparation, and CAD-based schematic drawings. The role supports the design process and traffic signal modelling under supervision.

The program welcomes students in progress toward civil engineering degrees, with ABET-accredited coursework and basic Microsoft Office skills; AutoCAD or MicroStation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support.
• Responsible for the compilation of data and the preparation of reports.
• Utilize computer software such as CAD (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) to produce schematics, drawings and design plans.
• Assist with preparation of design plans and traffic signal models.
• Coordinate within organization unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
• Participate in group meetings, both project and organization related.
