At AtkinsRéalis seeks an ITS & Traffic Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 for its Austin, TX office. The role focuses on administrative support, data compilation, and CAD drafting to produce schematics, drawings, and traffic plans.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• No experience required if accepted into an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in a related technical field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or MicroStation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operations support.
• Compile data and prepare reports.
• Use CAD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD) to produce schematics, drawings and design plans.
• Assist with design plans and traffic signal models.
• Coordinate within the organization unit to ensure policy consistency.
• Participate in project and organization group meetings.
