Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician to set up and take down lane closures on state highways and roadways. You will direct traffic around work zones, transport safety products to sites, and operate MOT/TMA vehicles while following contractor directions.

The role requires 1–3 years of field traffic control experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and completion of ATSSA TCT intermediate training.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience and 2,000 in-field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass a background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Must wear PPE and ensure safety in work zones.
• Ability to read plans and traffic control plans for implementation.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to projects and sites.
• Place and manage traffic control devices and signs.
• Set up cones and arrow boards in work areas.
• Monitor work zones for safety and proper placement.
• Perform shop maintenance and equipment repairs as needed.
• Comply with all safety rules and company policies.
