Qualifications

• Wear safety gear and follow safety rules.
• Read plans and ensure traffic control plans are followed.
• Knowledge of state/local roadways and vehicle operations.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Willing to travel statewide with some overnight stays.
• Rotating on-call schedule; mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT (Management of Traffic) vehicle to and from projects and sites.
• Drive TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicle to protect workers.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards in work zones.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices.
• Monitor the work zone for proper item placement throughout shifts.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start and end.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, and posts.
• Perform general shop maintenance and equipment repair.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
• Be available for nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays.
