Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in the United States is seeking a Traffic Control Technician to set up lane closures and manage traffic safety on state highways and other roadways. You will transport materials, operate MOT and TMA vehicles, and assemble, deliver, and pickup safety products from job sites while following contractor directions.

The role requires valid driving credentials, 1–3 years in traffic control, ability to travel statewide, and ATSSA TCT training.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required and clean motor vehicle record.
• 1–3 years of traffic control experience preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Knowledge of federal/state motor carrier safety regulations.
• Must wear safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and vest.
• Ability to read plans and implement traffic control plans.
• Willingness to travel statewide, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles for project sites to protect workers.
• Set up and take down lane closures and traffic devices.
• Place signs, arrow boards, and cones in work areas.
• Monitor work zones and ensure items are in the correct locations.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Install and adjust delineators, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Follow safety rules and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
