Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures on state highways, directing traffic and protecting crews on active worksites.

The role requires 1–3 years of traffic-control experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and willingness to travel statewide, including nights and weekends.

ATSSA TCT intermediate training is preferred and the company provides competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 1–3 years of traffic-control experience.
• Able to pass background and DOT drug tests.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends.
• ATSSA TCT intermediate training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on work sites to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure items remain in place.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Travel statewide and be available for on-call shifts.
