Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures, manage traffic safety on state highways, and support crews in field operations. The role involves independent work, transporting equipment, and coordinating with survey teams to ensure project safety.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, 1–3 years of traffic control experience, and ability to travel statewide including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check, including motor vehicle records check.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.

Skills

Valid Driver's License

Traffic control experience

DOT compliance knowledge

Physical stamina (lift up to 70 lbs)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
