Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is the nation's largest provider of traffic safety products and services, serving customers in 48 states with 60+ branches. We seek a Traffic Control Technician II to set up lane closures, redirect traffic for crews, and transport safety products to job sites.

The role involves operating MOT/TMA vehicles, placing signage, and ensuring work zone safety on state highways and roads. Candidates should have 1–3 years in traffic control, pass DOT requirements, and be willing

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• 1–3 years of traffic control experience with 2,000 field hours.
• Must pass background check including motor vehicle record check.
• Must pass drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment (boots, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Able to read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with occasional overnight stays.
• Able to work nights and weekends as required.
• ATSSA TCT intermediate training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on work sites to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other traffic safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone throughout the shift to ensure items remain in their proper locations.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Follow all safety rules to ensure a safe work environment.
• Adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
