Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures and ensure worker safety on state highways and local roads. You will operate trucks, deliver and pick up safety products, and follow contractor directions on assigned projects.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of traffic control experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel, nights and weekends as required. DOT compliance and ATSSA training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 1–3 years of traffic control experience with at least 2,000 field hours.
• Must pass background and motor vehicle records checks.
• Must pass drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and operate safety equipment.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with nights/weekends as needed.
• ATSSA TCT intermediate training or willingness to complete.
• Mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure items remain in their proper locations.
• Load and unload traffic control items at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop work and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
