Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician to set up and take down lane closures on state highways and other roadways. You will manage traffic flow, protect workers, and deliver/collect safety products from job sites, following contractor directions.

The role requires 1–3 years of traffic control experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks and DOT drug tests. Travel across the state and overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. Driver's License with a good driving record.
• 1–3 years of experience and 2,000 field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass background and DMV checks, as well as a drug test per DOT requirements.
• Wear PPE and understand basic safety regulations.
• Ability to read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs and set up traffic cones and boards.
• Monitor the work zone and maintain equipment and signage.
• Perform shop work and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Travel statewide and be available for nights and weekends as required.
