Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is the leading nationwide provider of traffic safety products and services. The Traffic Control Technician II is responsible for setting up and removing lane closures and ensuring the safety of all workers on assigned projects.

The role involves operating company trucks, driving MOT and TMA vehicles, and installing traffic control devices. Occasional statewide travel, night shifts, and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• 1-3 years of experience and 2,000 in field hours in traffic control.
• Pass a background check (including motor vehicle records).
• Pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Ability to read signs, complete paperwork, and understand motor carrier safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to and from projects and worksites.
• Place temporary construction signs and position arrow boards in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure items stay in position.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, posts and supports.
• Perform shop work and routine maintenance on equipment.
