Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures and ensure safety on state highways. You will operate trucks, manage traffic control devices, and support crews in daily operations.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in traffic control, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays. DOT compliance and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License.
• 1–3 years of experience in traffic control.
• Must pass background check and DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment and follow safety regulations.
• Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT (Management of Traffic) vehicle to and from projects.
• Drive TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicle to protect workers.
• Place temporary construction signs and traffic devices.
• Monitor and maintain the work zone throughout shifts.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented.
