Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in Denver, CO seeks a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and maintain lane closures, directing traffic to protect workers on state highways. The role requires operating MOT/TMA vehicles, installing signs and cones, and coordinating with crews for safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of traffic control experience, ability to lift 70 pounds, and willingness to travel statewide with possible night/weekend shifts in a fast-paced field

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience and 2,000 in-field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass a background check and drug test; comply with DOT requirements.
• Wear safety gear and follow federal/state motor carrier safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down lane closures on highways and roadways.
• Operate company vehicles to transport materials to job sites.
• Place traffic signs and implement traffic control plans as directed.
• Monitor the work zone for safety and compliance throughout shifts.
• Perform basic shop work and equipment maintenance.
