Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up, operate, and maintain traffic control devices on state highways and other roadways. You will transport materials, drive MOT and TMA vehicles, and ensure worker safety by properly positioning signs, cones, and barriers.

The role requires 1–3 years of traffic control experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to travel statewide, including potential overnights.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• 1-3 years of experience and 2,000 field hours in traffic control.
• Able to pass background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Able to pass drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to project sites to protect workers.
• Set up and place traffic control devices and signs in work areas.
• Monitor and maintain work zones for safety throughout shifts.
• Perform shop maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
