The position emphasizes night/weekend availability, travel across the state, and compliance with DOT rules; candidates must pass background checks and drug testing and wear required

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required and clean driving record.
• 1–3 years experience with traffic control; ~2,000 field hours preferred.
• Background check, including MVR; must pass drug test per DOT rules.
• Willing to travel statewide; nights and weekends as project demands.
• Must wear safety gear and follow regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to support work zones and worker safety.
• Place and manage traffic control devices and signs in work areas.
• Set up cones, arrow boards, and other safety equipment as needed.
• Monitor and maintain the work zone during shifts; ensure plan adherence.
• Load/unload items at shift start/end; perform basic shop maintenance.
• Follow all safety rules and DOT requirements; participate in on-call rotations.
