Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures on state highways, directing traffic and safeguarding crews. The role involves traveling statewide, working nights and weekends as required, and performing equipment maintenance.

Candidate must have 1–3 years in traffic control, pass background and DOT drug tests, and wear appropriate safety gear. Valid CDL-like responsibilities apply for safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and 1–3 years of traffic control experience.
• Be able to pass background and drug tests and meet DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment and follow regulations.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to travel statewide with possible overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position and manage traffic safety devices in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone throughout the shift.
• Load and unload traffic control items at start/end of shifts.
• Install and reset delineators, signs, posts and supports.
• Perform shop work and general equipment maintenance.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
