Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures and ensure safety on assigned projects. You will operate trucks, drive MOT and TMA vehicles, and install signs and safety devices across state highways.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and DOT compliance.
• 1–3 years experience and 2,000 field hours in traffic control.
• Able to pass background and drug tests.
• Willing to travel statewide and work nights/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites to protect workers and work zones.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects and on work sites to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs and position arrow boards in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices and monitor the work zone.
