Job summary

You will lead traffic control crews, ensure safety compliance, and mentor staff while coordinating equipment transport and documentation. The role requires 3–4 years of experience, ATSSA certification, and willingness to travel statewide, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification required.
• 3–4 years (6,000+ hours) of traffic control experience.
• Must complete ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor advanced training course.
• Experience setting up traffic control on state/local roadways.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment.
• Lead daily traffic control crews, including Traffic Control Technicians and Flaggers.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Deliver toolbox talks and job-specific safety training to crew members.
• Mentor and train new hires in proper traffic control and safety procedures.
• Ensure timesheets, work tickets, and job documentation are completed daily.
• Operate MOT (Management of Traffic) and TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicles on job sites.
• Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control devices and signs.
• Inspect work zones for proper device placement and overall site safety.
• Perform shop duties including maintenance and repair of traffic control equipment.
• Maintain inventory of traffic control devices and materials.
• Travel to various job sites; occasional overnight stays.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
