Job summary

Acme Barricades in Florida is hiring a Maintenance of Traffic laborer to perform temporary traffic control on a roadway construction project, protecting the public and maintaining efficient traffic flow within the work zone.

No experience is required and on-the-job training is provided. A high school diploma or GED and clear written and verbal communication are required; the role offers weekly pay, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set-up and maintain traffic control devices, installation and service work-zone signs, and lights
• Set up and maintain assigned Maintenance of Traffic activity including detours and lane closures
• Coordinate services with the on-site client representative or officials
• Load and unload equipment into and out of company trucks
• Deliver / Pick-up equipment from customer jobsites
• Coordinate activities of traffic control laborers to ensure compliance with MOT guidelines
• Make recommendations on existing conditions to coordinate procedures for traffic maintenance activities
• Complete daily paperwork and reports as required by supervisor
• If approved driver, may operate a company vehicle and maintain company standards with Motor Vehicle Record
• Perform all other duties as assigned
