Job summary

Acme Barricades in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Maintenance of Traffic laborer to perform temporary traffic control on a roadway construction project. You will set up and maintain signs, lights, detours, and work zones while ensuring public safety and compliance with regulations.

Overtime and weekly pay are offered, with a competitive benefits package. This role requires at least 2 years MOT experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Maintenance of Traffic or related industry (i.e. Road Construction, Highway Maintenance, Construction).
• High School Diploma/GED and be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally.
• Advanced MOT Certification Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain traffic control devices, installation and service work-zone signs, and lights.
• Set up and maintain assigned Maintenance of Traffic activity including detours and lane closures.
• Coordinate services with the on-site client representative or officials.
• Load and unload equipment into and out of company trucks.
• Deliver / Pick-up equipment from customer jobsites.
• Coordinate activities of traffic control laborers to ensure compliance with MOT guidelines.
• Make recommendations on existing conditions to coordinate procedures for traffic maintenance activities.
• Complete daily paperwork and reports as required by supervisor.
• If approved driver, may operate a company vehicle and maintain company standards with Motor Vehicle Record.
