Job summary

Acme Barricades in Tampa, FL seeks a Maintenance of Traffic laborer to perform temporary traffic control on roadway construction projects. You will set up signs, lights, and detours, coordinate activities, and ensure safety compliance while supporting client needs.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years MOT/related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work flexibly, including overtime. A valid driver’s license is preferred and safety training is valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in Maintenance of Traffic / Temporary Traffic Control or related industry.
• High School Diploma/GED and clear written/verbal communication.
• Advanced MOT Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up/maintain traffic control devices, signs, and lights.
• Coordinate MOT activity, detours, and lane closures.
• Load/unload equipment, deliver/pick-up at jobsites.
• Complete daily paperwork and reports as required.
