Job summary

Acme Barricades is hiring a Maintenance of Traffic laborer to perform temporary traffic control on roadway projects in Jacksonville, FL. Weekly pay, overtime and a comprehensive benefits package accompany competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Role requires setting up devices, coordinating detours, loading equipment, and ensuring MOT guidelines are followed. Candidates should have 2+ years MOT experience and a High School Diploma or GED; advanced MOT certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in Maintenance of Traffic or related field (e.g., road construction).
• High school diploma or GED; clear written and verbal communication.
• Advanced MOT Certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain traffic control devices, signs, and lights.
• Coordinate MOT activity, detours, and lane closures with on-site staff.
• Load/unload equipment, deliver/pick-up at job sites, supervise laborers.
• Ensure compliance with MOT guidelines and safety procedures.
• Complete daily paperwork and reports; operate company vehicle if licensed.
