Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is the leading national provider of traffic safety products and services in the United States. The Flagger directs the flow of traffic around construction zones, sets up and removes signs, cones, and barricades, and communicates with motorists using hand signals and devices to ensure safety for workers and the public.

The role requires outdoor work in varying weather, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; pass background checks including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest.
• Complete ATSSA Flagger training and company-sponsored Defensive Driver training.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and traffic control devices around work areas.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to/from job sites.
