Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, the largest national provider of traffic safety products and services in the United States, seeks a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic at construction and work zones. The role requires setting up signs, cones, and barriers, and communicating with motorists to maintain safety for workers and the public.

Responsibilities include managing flow with stop/slow paddles, standing for long periods, and lifting heavy items.

Qualifications

• Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
• Must pass a background check, including motor vehicle records.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Be able to operate a two-way radio.
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and traffic settings.
• Provide effective communication with contractors and teams while delivering customer service.
• Strong attendance and reliable transportation are required.
• Complete ATSSA Flagger training and company Defensive Driver training sponsored by the company.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with occasional overnight stays, and to work nights and weekends as required.
• Rotating on-call schedule availability.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and traffic control devices around work areas.
• Manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate with team using radios.
• Stand and walk for long periods outdoors.
• Lift and move items over 50 pounds.
• Transport equipment to/from job sites in company vehicles.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Work in outdoor conditions with exposure to moving traffic and fumes.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
