Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is hiring a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. The role involves setting up traffic control devices, signaling motorists, and ensuring worker and public safety.

The position requires outdoor work, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for long periods, with potential statewide travel and occasional night/weekend shifts. Training and certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Pass a background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• ATSSA Flagger training and company-sponsored Defensive Driver training are preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Travel statewide with occasional overnight stays; may work nights and weekends as required.
