Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is hiring a Traffic Control Flagger in Shreveport, LA. You will direct traffic around construction zones, set up signs and barriers, and ensure the safety of workers and motorists. This role requires outdoor work, stamina, and adherence to DOT standards.

Training is provided; opportunities for growth and competitive benefits are offered. Prior flagger experience is valued, with potential travel statewide and occasional nights/weekends depending on projects.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• ATSSA Flagger training and company-sponsored Defensive Driver training completed.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with occasional overnight stays.
• Able to work nights and weekends as required by projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices around work areas.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team via two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for up to 10 hours a day; wear safety gear.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to job sites.
