Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction zones and set up traffic control devices. The role requires standing for long periods, working outdoors in all weather, and ensuring the safety of workers and the public.

You must have a valid driver’s license, pass background and drug tests, meet DOT requirements, and complete ATSSA Flagger and Defensive Driver training. Ability to travel statewide and work nights/weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License and pass a background check are required.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest).
• ATSSA Flagger training and company-sponsored Defensive Driver training required.
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays and to work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic around construction sites and work zones.
• Set up and take down traffic control signs, cones, and barricades.
• Communicate with motorists using hand signals, signs, and two-way radios.
• Stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
