Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. You will set up and remove traffic control devices, communicate with motorists, and ensure safety for workers and the public.

This non-exempt role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, standing for long periods, and ability to travel statewide with overnight stays as projects demand. Training in ATSSA Flagger and Defensive Driving will be provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and ability to pass background and drug tests.
• Must pass federal DOT requirements.
• ATSSA Flagger training and company Defensive Driver training completed.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel statewide with overnight stays; nights/weekends as required.
• Able to operate two-way radio and use safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; lift up to 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to and from job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and traffic conditions.
• Adhere to company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
