Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems seeks a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. You will set up and take down traffic control devices, communicate with motorists, and ensure public and worker safety.

The role requires outdoor work in varying weather, long periods of standing, and the ability to lift items up to 50 pounds. DOT compliance and safety gear use are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest).
• Willingness to travel statewide, with occasional overnight stays; ability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices around work areas to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team members using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for long periods and handle equipment as needed.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment between sites.
