Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction zones and manage safety for workers and the public. You will set up and remove signs, cones, and barriers, and communicate with motorists using signals and devices.

The role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions, the ability to stand for long periods, and compliance with DOT rules. Training in ATSSA Flagger and Defensive Driving is required, with statewide travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Background check including motor vehicle records is required.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Completion of ATSSA Flagger training is required.
• Completion of company-sponsored Defensive Driver training is required.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with overnight stays.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required by projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team via two-way radios.
• Stand or walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
• Lift and move items over 50 pounds when needed.
• Drive company vehicles to transport equipment to job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
