Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites, set up and remove signs and cones, and ensure safety for workers and the public. The role requires attention to detail, outdoor stamina, and the ability to stand for long periods.

Eligible candidates possess a valid driver’s license, be able to pass DOT background checks, and complete ATSSA Flagger and Defensive Driver training.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check and motor vehicle records check.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and barricades to divert traffic.
• Manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate with team using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods outdoors.
• Lift/move items up to 50 pounds.
• Drive company vehicles to transport equipment to job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Work outdoors with exposure to weather, fumes and noise.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
