Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction zones, set up signs and barriers, and communicate with the team to keep motorists safe. The role requires standing for long periods, outdoor work in various weather, and a willingness to travel statewide on a rotating schedule.

Applicants must have a valid driver's license, pass a background check and drug test, wear safety gear, and complete ATSSA Flagger training or be willing to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check, including motor vehicle records.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest).
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
• Provide effective communication with contractors and internal teams while delivering high-level customer service.
• Be able to work in a team environment and maintain excellent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic.
• Manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate with team members using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for long periods, up to 10 hours a day.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
