Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger II to direct traffic around construction zones and maintain safety for workers and the public. The role requires standing for long periods, weather resilience, and strong communication with the crew.

Responsibilities include setting up traffic control devices, using stop/slow paddles, and driving company vehicles to job sites. Valid license and ATSSA/Defensive Driver training are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and pass background and drug tests.
• ATSSA Flagger training and defensive driver training required.
• Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic and manage flow around work zones.
• Set up/tear down traffic control devices (signs, cones, barriers).
• Communicate with motorists using signals and signs.
• Maintain safety and comply with DOT requirements.
• Operate company vehicles and perform routine vehicle checks.
• Stand for extended periods in outdoor weather.
• Occasionally travel statewide for projects.
