Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. The role requires outdoor work, attention to safety, and effective communication with crew using radios.

You will set up and remove traffic control devices, manage flow with paddles, and travel statewide as needed. A valid license and DOT readiness are required, with ATSSA and Defensive Driver training preferred.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a DOT drug test.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with possible overnight stays.
• ATSSA Flagger training completed and current.
• Defensive Driver training completed and current.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic.
• Manage traffic flow using stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate clearly with team using two-way radios.
• Stand/walk for long periods and work outdoors in various weather.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
