Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. is hiring a Traffic Control Flagger II to direct traffic around work zones in York, PA. The role requires vigilance, outdoor stamina, and the ability to operate signage and communication devices to keep workers and motorists safe.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, pass background and drug checks, and complete ATSSA Flagger training. Occasional travel statewide and possible night/weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Background check incl. motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test per DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety gear (boots, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• ATSSA Flagger training completed.
• Willing to travel statewide with possible overnight stays.
• Be able to work nights and weekends as projects require.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up traffic control signs, cones, and barricades to divert traffic.
• Manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Communicate with contractors and team via two-way radios.
• Stand/walk up to 10 hours daily and perform light to moderate lifting (>50 lbs).
• Drive company vehicles to transport equipment to job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and environmental conditions.
• Follow Company Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
