Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. in Hershey, PA seeks a Traffic Control Flagger II to direct traffic around construction sites and work zones. You will set up and take down signs, cones, and barricades and communicate with motorists using hand signals, signs, and radios.

This non-exempt role requires standing for long periods, working outdoors in varying weather, and occasional travel. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal background check including MVR.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Operate 2-way radio.
• Willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings.
• Willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays, and ability to work nights and weekends as required by projects.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and traffic control devices around work areas to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear communication with team using two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours a day).
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
