Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic at construction sites and work zones. The role requires standing for long periods, outdoor work in varying weather, and communication with crew and motorists to ensure safety.

Responsibilities include setting up signs and barriers, using stop/slow paddles, and driving company vehicles for equipment transport. DOT compliance and ATSSA training are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must pass background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest).
• ATSSA Flagger training is required.
• Travel statewide with occasional overnight stays and ability to work nights/weekends as projects require.
• Operate 2-way radio for communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic.
• Effectively manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with team via radios.
• Stand and walk for up to 10 hours a day.
• Drive company vehicles to transport traffic control equipment to job sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
