Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is hiring a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction zones and ensure public and worker safety. You will set up and remove traffic control devices, use hand signals and paddles, and communicate with the crew on a shuttle of vehicles and gear.

The role requires standing for long periods, working outdoors in all weather, and willingness to travel statewide with possible nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass background check incl. MVR.
• Must pass drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots, hard hat, safety vest, glasses).
• Willingness to work in varying weather and traffic settings.
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays and to work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones and barricades to divert traffic.
• Direct traffic using stop/slow paddles and hand signals.
• Communicate effectively with team via two-way radios.
• Stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Operate company vehicles and perform basic vehicle checks.
• Work outdoors in various weather and traffic conditions.
