Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a Traffic Safety Protector to work with a team at multiple job sites to ensure safety and traffic control. No prior experience or degree is required as comprehensive training is provided.

You will perform duties outdoors in all weather, operating cones and stop/slow paddles, monitoring activity, and communicating with your crew and supervisor. Protective gear is provided, and steel-toe boots are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to work outdoors, stand, walk, and lift.
• Willingness to work in traffic and diverse weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule and punctuality is expected.
• Pass pre-hire screening, including drug tests.
• Alertness around moving traffic and respectful conduct toward coworkers and the public.

Job description

Role Overview

Primary Duties

• setting up and taking down cones, signs, and barricades
• using stop/slow paddles to guide traffic
• monitoring activity to maintain safety
• communicating effectively with your crew and supervisor
• keeping vehicles and equipment clean and safe

You are responsible for working outdoors in all weather conditions. Shifts may vary, including nights, weekends, or emergency work, requiring standing or walking for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. You will be supplied with safety gear, but must bring steel-toe boots.

Key Responsibilities & Benefits

Compensation ranges from $19.50 to $20.25 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and pay raises. Paid training and traffic safety certification are provided.
