Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a dedicated Protector to support traffic safety at job sites. You will set up and remove cones and barricades, guide traffic, and monitor site conditions under supervision.

The position requires standing or walking outdoors, working in varying weather, and a flexible schedule. Training is provided, including safety certifications, with opportunities for advancement within the team.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive to job sites.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform outdoor work for long periods.
• Physically capable of lifting 40–50 pounds as needed.
• Willingness to work in traffic and changing weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule with reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to pass pre-hire drug screening.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role Overview

The Protector

works with a team at job sites to manage traffic safety measures.

No prior experience or degree is required, as comprehensive training is provided to ensure safety and skill development.

Key responsibilities include setting up and taking down cones, signs, and barricades; guiding traffic with stop/slow paddles; observing site activity; maintaining safety protocols; communicating effectively with crew and supervisors; and ensuring vehicles and equipment are clean and safe.

The role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, standing or walking for extended periods, and occasionally working nights or weekends based on job needs.

Safety gear such as helmets, goggles, vests, whistles, walkie-talkies, and weather-appropriate clothing are supplied; steel-toe boots are required from the employee.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $19.50–$20.25/hour with overtime opportunities and pay increases within the first year.

Paid training and traffic safety certification are included.
