As a Traffic Safety Protector, you will work with a team at various job sites to ensure safety and efficient traffic control. No prior experience or degree is required as comprehensive training is provided. Your main responsibilities include setting up traffic cones, signs, and barricades, using stop/slow paddles to guide vehicles, and monitoring site activity while following all safety protocols. You will communicate with team members and supervisors, maintain equipment and vehicles, and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or emergency shifts is essential, with shifts potentially lasting 8 to 12 hours. Safety gear such as helmets, goggles, vests, and weather apparel is supplied; you are expected to bring steel-toe boots.
Pay ranges from $16.25 to $17.00 per hour with overtime, pay increases within the first year, and paid training leading to a traffic safety certification.
