Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Gastonia, NC is hiring for a traffic control role supporting site safety. No prior experience or degree is required, and comprehensive training is provided to ensure safety on all assignments.

As part of the team you will set up and dismantle cones, signs, and barricades, direct traffic with stop/slow paddles, monitor site activity, and communicate with crew and supervisors. Training, benefits, and overtime opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects outdoors.
• Willingness to work in traffic and varying weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule and punctuality.
• Pass pre-employment screening, including a drug test.
• Alertness around moving traffic and respectful interaction with coworkers and the public.

• Monitoring traffic and site activity
• Communicating effectively with crew and supervisors
• Maintaining vehicles and equipment in a safe, clean condition
• Working outdoors in various weather conditions, with flexibility for night, weekend, or emergency shifts
• Standing or walking for extended periods, lifting 40-50 pounds, and adhering to all safety protocols

Additional Information

Compensation: $16.25–$17.00/hour, with overtime opportunities and pay increases within the first year. Paid training and a traffic safety certificate are included.
