Coastal Elite Pro in New London, CT is seeking a Traffic Safety Protector to support a team at job sites, ensuring safety and smooth traffic control. The role involves setting up cones, signs, and barricades, guiding traffic with paddles, and maintaining equipment in a safe condition.

The position requires outdoor work in all weather, possible night or weekend shifts, and the ability to stand or walk for 8–12 hours per shift. Pre-hire screening, training, and safety certification are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift 40–50 pounds outdoors.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including drug tests.
• Commitment to safety and respectful interaction with the public.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs and barricades, then remove traffic control equipment.
• Guide traffic with stop/slow paddles and monitor site activity.
• Follow safety procedures learned during training.
• Communicate effectively with crew and supervisors.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean, safe condition.
• Work outdoors in all weather, including nights, weekends, or emergencies.
• Stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift.

• Using stop/slow paddles to guide traffic and monitoring site activity
• Following all safety procedures learned during training
• Communicating effectively with crew and supervisors
• Maintaining vehicles and equipment in a clean and safe condition
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions, sometimes during night, weekend, or emergency shifts
• Standing or walking for 8 to 12 hours per shift

Qualifications Include

• Pay ranges from $19.50 to $20.25 per hour with overtime opportunities and pay increases within the first year
